George the Second etc. To all etc. Know ye That for Diverse good causes and / Considerations but more Especially For and in Consideration of the Sum of / Twenty Two Shillings of Good and Lawful money for our uses paid to our / Receiver General of our Revenues in this our Colony and Dominion of / Virginia We have Given Granted and Confirmed and by these presents for us / our heirs and Successors Do Give Grant and Confirm unto Israel Robertson of / Prince George County one Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Containing Two / hundred and Fifty Four Acres Lying and being on the south side of Buckskin / Creek in the Same County and bounded as Followeth (to wit) Beginning above / The Mouth of the Great Licking Place Branch at an Ash and Southorwood [sic] / on the Brink of the Creek Thence West Thirty Three Degrees South one hundred / and Two Poles to a Corner Shrub white oak Thence West Seven Degrees North / One hundred and Sixty Poles to a Corner Thence North Twenty One Degrees West / One hundred and two Poles to a Corner hickory Thence North Thirty Degrees East / Seventy Three Poles to a Corner Spanish Oak Thence East Fourteen Degrees / North One hundred and Fifty two Poles to Beechshire Creek Thence down the / Creek with Meanders to the beginning With all etc, To have hold etc. To be held etc. / Yielding and Paying etc. Provided etc. In witness etc. Witness our Trusty and / wellbeloved William Gooch Esqr. our Lieut Governor and Commander in / Chief of our said Colony and dominion at Williamsburgh under the / Seal of our said Colony the Twenty Fifth day of August one thousand / Seven hundred and Thirty one in the Fifth year of our Reign William Gooch
