George the second &c To all &c Know ye that for diverse / good Causes and Considerations but more Especially for and in / Consideration of the Sum of Twenty Shillings of good and / Lawful Money for our Use paid to our Receiver General of our Revenues / in this our Colony and Dominion of Virginia We have Given / Granted and Confirmed and by these Presents for us our Heirs and / Successors Do Give Grant and Confirm unto John Robertson / one certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing two hundred Acres / lying and being in the County of Lunenburgh on both sides of / Avents Branch and bounded as followeth (to wit) Beginning / at Mannings upper Corner white Oak on the said branch thence / along his line North eighty Degrees West forty Poles to a Black Jack / thence new lines North ten Degrees East one hundred and eighty / Poles to a Turkey Oak South eighty Degrees East two hundred / and four Poles to a Hiccory South thirty Degrees West two / hundred and fifty two Poles to a black Jack in Mannings line / and thence along his line North forty five Degrees West / ninety two Poles to the first Station With all &c To have / hold &c To be held &c Yielding and Paying &c / Provided &c In Witness &c Witness our Trusty and / welbeloved Robert Dinwiddie Esquire our Lieutenant Governor / and Commander in Chief of our said Colony and Dominion at Williamsburgh under the seal of our said Colony the sixteenth day / of August one thousand seven hundred and fifty six In the Thirtieth / Year of our Reign
