This Indenture made the Seventh Day of November / in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & fifty two Between Mathew Roberson of the County / of Lunenburg of the one Part and John Davis of the / same County of the other Part Witnesseth that the / said Mathew Roberson for and in Consideration / of the sum of Forty Pounds Curr[en]t Money of Virginia / to him in hand Paid by the said John Davis the / Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge Hath Given / Granted Bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed Con / =firmed and by these Presents doth give Grant Bargain / sell alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said John / Davis and to his heirs and assigns forever one / Tract or Parcel of Land lying & being in the / County of Lunenburg on the North side of Roanoak / River Containing by Estimation one Hundred and / fifty /

fifty four acres be the same more or less and bounded / as followeth, to wit, Beginning at Rebert Matthew / upper Corner on the said River thence along his / line North ten Degrees East forty Eight Poles to / his Corner Turkey oak Thence North thirty Degrees / West one hundred and forty Poles to a white oak / Thence North seventy Eight Degrees West one / hundred and thirty six Poles to a white oak Thence / south forty three Degrees West Eighty Six Poles to / a black Walnut on the River aforesaid Thence down / the said River as it Meanders to the Beginning / Together with all Houses Orchards Gardens / Fences Waters Water Courses ways woods underwoods / Profits Commodities advantages and other appur= / tenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in / any wise appertaining To have and to hold / the foresaid Tract or Parcel of Land together with / the afore Recited Premises and every Part and / Parcell thereof with their and every of their / Appurtenances unto the said John Davis and of / his heirs and assigns forever and the said Mathew / Roberson for himself his heirs Executors adm[inistrato]rs / doth Covenant and agree to and with the said John / Davis his heirs and assigns that he the said / Mathew Roberson his heirs the above Mentioned / Lands and Premises with their and every of their / Appurtenances unto the said John Davis his heirs / and assigns against him the said Mathew Roberson / his heirs Executors and adm[inistrato]rs and against all other

At a Court held for Lunenburg County the Seventh / Day of November 1752 / The above Indenture and the Memorandum of / Livery of Seizin hereon indorsed were acknowledg'd / by the above named Mathew Roberson and Sarah / wife of the said Mathew being Privately Examined / according to Law the same were ordered to be Recorded. / Teste Clement Read CLC / Truly Recorded / Clement Read CLC
