This Indenture Made on the tenth / Day of March in the Year of Lord One / thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Six and / of the Soveranity and Indepence of the United / States of America the tenth Betwene Mathew Roberson of the State and / County Aforesaid of the one part and John Waters of the same place of / the Other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of / five Shillings Sterling to the Said Mathew Roberson in hand paid / by the Said John Waters well and Truly paid and at or before the / Sealing and Delivering of these the Receipt and payment Whereof is here= / by acknowledged hath Granted Bargained and Sold and by these / presents doth Grant bargain Sell unto the said John John Watters all that / and those the plantation or Tract of Land Where the said John Watters Now / lives Situate lying and being in the County Aforesaid and on both sides of Thick / =ety Creek being the west End of a Tract of 400 Acres of Land Granted / Honas Balum from under the Great Seal of North Carolina and from / Honas Balum Conveyed to Jacob Widener and from Jacob Widener / Conveyed to David Robertson Now Deceased and from David Robert / -son Deceased as heir at Law to the said David Robertson Deceased / Containing One hundred and thirty three Acres and one third of an / acre and is bounded by Part of the said Land to the East now the / property of Thos Wright and to the North by Lands granted to James / Robertson and to the West by Lands of John Nuckols Deceased / and to that by vacant Lands; Together with all and Singular the / houses Out houses Edifices Buildings Orchards Guardens Lands / Meadows Commons Treesways Wells Waters [-----] / Casements /

Casements profits Comodities Emoluments and Hereditiment / and Hereditaments whatsoever to the Said plantation or Tract of / Land Containing one hundred and thirty three acres and one third / belonging or in any wise appurtaining or which Now are or heretofore / hath been taken known Reputed held Occupied Enjoyed as part parcel / or member the same plantation or any Part thereof and the Reversion & / Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits of all & / Singular the Land premises and every part and parcel thereof with their / appertenances to have and to hold the Land plantation or Tract of Land / and premises aformentioned and by these presents to hath bargained / and sold and every part and parcel thereof with the appertanances unto / the said John Waters his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns / from the Day Next before the Day of the Date of these presents for and / in During the full End and Term of One Whole year from the next / Ensuing and fully to be Completed and Ended yielding and pay / =ing One peperCorn at or before the last Day of said term if the Sum / be Lawfully Demanded & the [-----] that by [-----] of these presents / and by force of the Statute made for Kendering uses into possession / of force in South Carolina he the said John Watters May be in actual / possession of all and singular the premises above bargained and / Sold with the appertenances and be thereby Enabled to Except and / Take a grant and Release of the Reversion and Inheritance to / him and his heirs forever to the only proper use and behoof of him / the said John Watters his heirs and assigns forever. In Witness Whereof / and to these presents the said Mathew Roberson and als Susannah / Roberson his wife their hands and seals have Jointly and interchange / =able Set the Day and Date first before Mentioned.

This Indenture made on / the Eleventh day of March and in the / year of Lord one thousadnd seven hundred / and Eighty Six of the Soveranity and Independence of the United States of / America the Tenth Between Mathew Roberson of the State and County / aforesaid of the one part and John Waters of the other part witnesseth / that the said Mathew Roberson for and in Consideration of the sum of one / hundred and Eighty pounds Sterling to him in hand pay by the said / John Watters well and Truly paid at or before the Sealing or Delivering / of these presents the Receipt and payment is hereby acknowledged and / thereof of and from every part and parcel thereof doth acquit Release / and Discharge him the said John Watters his heirs Executors and adm[inistato]rs / forever and by these presents hath granted Bargained Sold Aliened / Remised Released and Confirmed and by these presents doth Grant / bargain and sell Alien Remise Release and confirm unto the said / John Waters in his actual possession Now being by virtue of a bargain / and sail thereof to him Made for one whole year by indenture of Lease / bearing Date the Day Next before the Day of these presents and by / force of the statute for Transferring Uses into possession of form in / South Carolina and to his heirs and assigns for ever all that and / those the plantation or Tract of Land whereon the said John Watters / Now lives Situate lying and being on both sides of Thickety / Creek being a part of a Tract of Land of 400 acres of Land granted to / Honas Balim from Under the Great Seal of North Carolina and / Conveyed from Honas Balum to Jacob Widener and from Jacob Widener / to David Robertson Deceased and from said Roberson Deceased to Mathew / Roberson by heirship he being heir at Law by the said David Roberson / aforesaid Deceased being the West End of the Tract before mentioned and / beginning at the upermost Corner of part of the said Tract which is now the property of Thomas Wright and lay out to him and is bou / =nded on the said Wrights Land on the East and to the North by Land / granted to James Roberson and to the West by John Nuckols deceased / and to the South by vacant lands Including the Improvement where / on the said John Watters now lives Containing One hundred and thirty / three acres and one third of an acre together with all and singular the / houses outhouses Edifices buildings Gardens Orchards lands / Meadows Commons pastures Trees ways [-----] Waters water Courses / lights easements profits Commoditys Emoliments and heriditaments / what= /

Whatsoever to the said plantation or Tract of Land and premises / Containing one hundred and thirty three acres and a third belonging / or in anywise appertaining or which now are or heretofore have been / accepted Resided Taken nown use held occpyed or Enjoyed as part / parcel or member the same plantation or any part thereof and the / Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issue / and profits of all and singular the said premises and every part / and parcel thereof with the appurtenances and all the Estate Right / Title Claim Interest property and Demand of him the said Mathew / Roberson of in and to all the and singular the said plantation and / premises aforementioned and of in and to every part and parcel / with the appertenances to have and to hold the said plan= / =tation or Tract of Land and premises aforementioned in / and by these presents Released and Confirm?d and every part / and parcel thereof with the apertenances unto the said John / Waters his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him / the said John Waters his heirs and assigns for ever and for / no other intent or purpose Whatsoever and the said / Mathew Roberson for himself his heirs Executors administra= / =tors and assigns doth promise Covenant and agree to and / with the said John Waters his heirs and assigns that he the / said Mathew Roberson his heirs Executors administrators & assigns / the beforementioned and bargained Land and premises against / him the said Mathew Roberson his heirs and assigns as abovesd / and against every other person or Manner of persons laying / any Claim there unto with the abovementioned land and premises / at all times will warrant and Defend [-----] frpm Molestation or [-----] / In witness whereof and to these Presents that the said Mathew Roberson / and also Susanna Roberson his wife their hands and seals have / Jointly and Interchangably set the Day and Date first before Written
