George the Second etc. To all etc. Whereas etc. We have given / granted and Confirmed and by these presents for us our heirs and Successors Do Give grant / and Confirm unto Israel Robertson of Prince George County one certain Tract or Parcel of Land / containing Six hundred and Seventy acres lying and being on the south side of Roanoke / River in the County of Brunswick aforesaid and bounded as followeth, To Wit, Begining / at a Birch on the East side of Smiths Creek Thence South and by East Three hundred and Fifty / Two Poles to a Pine Thence South Forty nine Degrees west One hundred and Sixty Six Poles to a / red Oak Thence North Eighty Eight Degrees West One hundred and Fifty Eight poles to a / Pine Thence North West One hundred Eighty Two poles to a red oak Thence North Twenty / Degrees East Fifty Eight poles to a red oak Thence North forty four Degrees East Thirty / Six Pole [sic] to a Hiccory Thence North Seventy Two Degrees East One Hundred Eighty / Two poles to a white oak Thence North Eighteen [sic] West One hundred and Twenty four / Pole [sic] to the Creek aforesaid Thence down the various Courses of the said Creek to the beginning / With all etc. To have hold etc. To be held etc. Yielding and Paying etc. Provided etc. / In Witness etc. Witness our Trusty and Wellbeloved William Gooch Esqr. our Lieutenant / Governor and Commander in Chief of our Said Colony and Dominion at Williamsburgh / Under the Seal of our said Colony the Twenty Eighth day of September one Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Eight in the Second Year of our Reign William Gooch
